I can wholeheartedly recommend this tour. It was our first time on a glacier, and we had an amazing, impressive experience. Many thanks to our guide Michael – he was very attentive, cared about our safety, and made sure to find truly beautiful spots for us. We really enjoyed everything.

The tour takes about 7 hours. The route is NOT difficult. Even someone who is not very athletic or well-trained can manage it. There is enough time to rest along the way. Everything is perfectly organized by the team.

Our trip was truly amazing! Their goal is to take people to the most remote parts of the glacier to experience stunning natural beauty and it turned out to be exactly that, and even better. The groups are small, the guides are fantastic. They are experienced, educated, fluent in English and will make sure you are feeling safe and will provide you with crampons, ice axes, and harnesses.The glacier changes rapidly, so every hike is unique, and you’ll be amazed by the breathtaking scenery. Vandaag een privé tour gedaan met gids Nanna. Een uitstekende gids en ook een geweldige tocht over de gletsjer inclusief een kijkje in een ijsgrot en een stuk ice climbing. De tocht begint met de boot en dan nog 2 uur lopen naar de gletsjer. Prachtige omgeving en eenmaal op de gletsjer (even wennen aan de crampons) dan wordt het nog veel mooier. Echt een aanrader! We hebben genoten.

Amazing private glacier tour with Ole and Fjord Active!

We were the only ones signed up for the glacier tour, which meant we could explore so much more than in a larger group, where things move slower. Ole guided us expertly and showed us all the hidden spots on the glacier.

Walking on the glacier was definitely one of the highlights of our entire trip to Norway, truly the cherry on top!

What’s even more impressive is that Fjord Active is the only agency allowed to lead tours to this part of the glacier because they own the land and have the exclusive permit. This means you’re truly alone on the glacier, making the experience even more special.

My husband and daughter did the body rafting with FjordActive. I did not participate (well, water in Norway is fresh and I have my temperature standard 😉), but from their comments, I can tell you it was a great experience. Their Norwegian guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive to everyone - despite the physical level or age. His explanation was very clear (equipment, schedule, activities, safety, pictures etc). He also did his best to reassure my daughter when she got into a little panic before the very last jump - nothing difficult, but this was the only place you couldn't skip and had to jump into the water. Highly recommended! Don't hesitate a minute!

En ganske særlig oplevelse
Fantastisk tur til bræfallet. Vi var en lille gruppe på 8 deltagere, så alle kunne følge med i vores veluddannede guides (Nana) informative fortællinger. Vores tur varede knapt 8 timer. Der var passende pauser og vores guide var hele tiden opmærksom på vores behov. Vi kom fint rundt på bræen, var nede i en hule/kløft og godt oppe med fin udsigt over bræen.

Diese geführte Gletschertour ist unbedingt zu empfehlen. Es wird ein Auslassgletscher des Jostedalsbreen der Tunedalsbreen, begangen Dieser liegt abseits der Touristen Massen ca. 25 km entfernt vom Nigardsbreen bei Leirdal. Am Stausee fährt man erst einmal zwanzig Minuten mit dem Zodiac zum Start der Wanderung. Zuerst läuft man ca. eine Stunde bis zur Gletscherzunge durch atemberaubende Landschaft. Dann bekommt man Steigeisen, Pickel und Harnisch und wird zu einer Seilschaft verbunden. Die Gruppe bestand bei uns aus sieben Personen, maximal besteht eine Gruppe aus zwölf Personen. Über den Gletscher läuft man zweieinhalb Stunden. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist super. Der Trip kostet 800 NOK. Unser Guide war sehr nett und kompetent. Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Auch die Rückfahrt mit dem Zodiac war toll, inklusive Wasserfall ...

We absolutely loved it. The guide was really nice and knowledgeable, we felt safe the whole time and we also loved that he would stop every once in a while to tell us a story (I think the real reason was for the people to rest). The explanations, the safety instructions, the boat ride made this experience 100% recommended. He would always ask for a feedback from us, making sure we are all safe and comfortable and enjoying it. At the way back we stopped near the tipi to drink coffee or tea
