We had an unforgettable experience kayaking with Discover Olden. The whole time we were well cared for; from the collection from Olden all through the kayaking experience and a campfire with local produce as a special treat. Tessa and Nick were excellent guides and the small group size meant that this was a very personal experience. The guides provide photos throughout so you can concentrate on enjoying the experience. We had the added bonus of seeing an eagle on our Kayak adventure, a rare experience even for Tessa and Nick!

Absolutely recommended!
We had an amazing kayak tour today with Nick – super friendly, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about what he does. Everything was very well organized from start to finish. The value for money was excellent, and the tour ended with a cozy campfire, which made the experience even more special. Thank you for this unforgettable adventure – we’d do it again anytime!

I joined the guided kayak tour in Olden on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, and it was truly an unforgettable experience.

Our guide, Niklas, was absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly helpful. During the trip, I accidentally left my jacket behind. To my surprise, Niklas went out of his way and drove a long distance just to return it to me. That level of kindness and dedication is rare and truly appreciated.

This tour was far superior to the kayak excursions offered by the cruise company. We were able to paddle much farther and explore more of the beautiful surroundings. Along the way, Niklas shared fascinating stories and information about Olden, Norwegian culture, and Viking history, which made the journey even more enriching.

My father and my son shared a double kayak. My father, a former kayaking champion, had long dreamed of paddling together with his grandson—and this tour made that dream come true. Watching them on the water together was a moment I’ll always cherish.

I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Olden. Whether you're experienced or a first-timer, Nick ensures a safe, enjoyable, and meaningful experience for all. Thank you for such a memorable day

My wife and I had a fantastic time kayaking with Nik! The fjord was absolutely gorgeous and Nik was a great guide. We loved learning about the area around Olden and experiencing the beauty firsthand on the water. The kayaks were great, and Nik treated us to a campfire with some delicious local foods and apple juice afterwards. I would highly recommend a kayak tour with Discover Olden. We had an excellent time exploring the fjord surrounding Olden in this affordable unsupervised kayak experience. The attendants who set everything up were very friendly and accommodating. As we were a bit further out from Olden town, we had the entire stretch of water to ourselves, which made for some magnificent views. Highly recommended.

Excellent experience kayaking with Discover Olden. We were collected from our cruise ship, the instructions and communication from the start was clear and helpful.
Once at the site, the team were amazingly helpful, giving us all the information needed and letting us loose on the fjord! The maps were useful, but ultimately being away from the crowds in Olden centre was amazing - it felt like we had the fjord to ourselves!!
Would 100% recommend Discover Olden to anyone visiting the area for a great value, incredibly serene kayaking experience!

Thankyou for a great kayak trip and excellent warming fire afterwards. Communication was excellent with pick up from our ship on time (sorry we were late!...... Make sure you read meeting instructions carefully! )
