The restaurant is undoubtedly a must-visit for sushi lovers seeking a refined dining experience.
The meal I enjoyed was absolutely stunning, with 20 pieces of sushi, each more exceptional than the last. Every bite was a journey of flavors, showcasing an undeniable mastery of Japanese culinary art. I especially loved the delicate fish and the precision in assembling each piece.

However, despite the remarkable quality of the food, the overall experience left me with mixed feelings. The meal lasted nearly four hours, and the length began to take a toll on my comfort. Sitting on uncomfortable chairs for such a long time made the experience feel drawn out, which slightly dampened the joy of the tasting.

I decided not to go for the wine pairing, mainly because the aperitif we were served fell short of the food’s high standard. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the level of the cuisine, which made me hesitant to try the wines.

The service was highly professional but perhaps a bit too intricate for my taste. The numerous explanations and anecdotes throughout the meal, while interesting, added to the heaviness of the experience. At some point, I would have preferred to enjoy the meal quietly without so many frequent interruptions.

In summary, Sabi Omakase offers an exceptional culinary experience with unforgettable sushi, but the pace and overall comfort could be improved to provide a smoother and more enjoyable dining experience.

Never meet your heroes.

This is one of my favourite restaurants. The food is amazing, the service is incredible specially if you combine it with the wine package, which is perfectly matched with the food. The limited amount of people and the entertainment given by the staff makes it a guaranteed experience. I celebrated my 50 birthday here and couldn’t be better. Thanks!!

Their sushi was the best I have ever had. The wine pairing was nicely done. It was such a great experience we had there. We will go back again! It's highly recommended for visitors.

Went to Omakase as 3 friends, and had a fantastic evening. The sushis are made right in front of you, by a chef with a great sense of humour, and handed to you for the most fresh experience ever. The ingredients are extremely fine, and we had a feeling our money was not going in the reputation, but completely in the skills and the quality of the food.

Great food and quite a variety.
Staff was very friendly, helpful but a tad confused is they had/served alcohol. In the end yes, they found it. Atmosphere lost a star because of the background music - 1980's top ten does not suit the vibe of this place.

Superb dining experience that was intimate and enlightening. With a limit of only 10 seats right at the chef's table (or in this case, counter), you get up close and personal with the entire meal service - from detailed explanations of ingredients to witnessing how each individual piece is crafted in front of you and then deftly placed on your plate...

The seafood that evening was of the best I've had - the flavors of each course melding into the next seamlessly. Drinks pairing was spot on. The entire experience was really surreal as I felt like I was transplanted into Japan yet people around me spoke in Norwegian/English. Definitely a must do in Stavanger.
