Fisketorget Stavanger tiene una ubicación inmejorable junto al puerto, con vistas muy agradables al mar, y se nota que trabajan con pescado y marisco fresco. El ambiente es bonito y la carta resulta atractiva para quienes buscan platos locales.

Sin embargo, hubo aspectos que no me convencieron: la sopa de pescado estaba demasiado pesada, llena de pan y con un exceso de aceite, lo que la hizo difícil de disfrutar. Además, el atún de Noruega tampoco estuvo a la altura, ya que la mezcla de ingredientes hacía que prácticamente no se notara el sabor del atún.

En general, es un sitio interesante para probar especialidades locales y disfrutar de la ubicación, pero la relación calidad-precio no me terminó de cuadrar.

Ho mangiato un questo ristorante a pranzo, consiglio la prenotazione, molto semplice da effettuare anche online. Il locale è’ ben tenuto e molto carino, il cibo davvero molto buono ed abbondante. Ci tornerei soprattutto per la zuppa di pesce.

A very nice restaurant, the service was good. I liked the open kitchen, you can really see the passion on the chef’s face. I have the best fish soup of my life, it was more elevated, with green oil and plenty of textures. It was simply a delight to have lunch in here.

Hvis du skal spise et helt unikt måltid anbefaler jeg Fisketorget på det alle varmeste. Maten smelter i munnen i et himmelsk rike av de nydeligste smakene du kan tenkte deg. Sommelieren gir de beste rådene for matchende vin.
Bestill et bord og takk meg senere for rådet. Men takk kokkene og de ansatte enda mer.

Our Experience in Stavanger – Disappointing Seafood Restaurant

We were visiting Stavanger and looking for an authentic Norwegian seafood experience. This restaurant showed up in the reviews, so we decided to give it a try.

We asked for traditional Norwegian salmon, but surprisingly, they didn’t have it. Instead, we ordered shrimp, lobster, and crab.

The lobster was average, nothing special. The shrimp was a disaster — no flavor at all, and it wasn’t properly cleaned. The crab was also disappointing and didn’t taste fresh.

We couldn’t finish the food.

When it was time to pay, the bill came to 349 euros, which was shockingly high for such a poor experience.

Overall, we were very disappointed. We felt misled by the reviews, and unfortunately, this place didn’t live up to our expectations at all.

Great range of fresh seafood. I ordered catch of the day and oysters. Unfortunately, there is no options for people who don’t like fish. One of our kid does not like it at all and we asked for pasta with some cheese for him. It wasn’t really tasty. So, the restaurant is a great place to eat for fish lovers only.

Very overpriced meals with more sallad filling than actual substance.

In short i would describe this place as a typical overpriced tourist trap to avoid.

Of our 3 different menu items only 1 was even remotely acceptable. Catch of the day was fine, nice sauce and reaaonable serving size.

The "largest shrimp sandwich" as it was called on the menu was a joke. A very small handful tasteless shrimps on a huge bed of raw mixed sallad to give the illusion of size without actually having to serve anything of worth. The bread wasnt bread, it was a thick slice of the same foccacia bread served in the bread basket drenched in a dill mayonnaise.
310nok for 90% sallad, the wrong bread and 4 slices of cucumber and radish with a tiny portion scrimp. No, just no. Blasphemous.

The spicy salmon sallad was even worse. Imagine the largest bowl (akin to a family sized ramen bowl) filled with 700grams of the same plane mixed sallad, thick pieces of chopped chilli peppers (not even de-seeded) and 6 tiny pieces of plain raw salmon.
Again, amazingly stingy protein portion size. Just a bunch of bland sallad that likely came pre-packaged.

I assume this place would be nice on a hot summer day while enjoying a beer and maybe something else on the menu. For lunch however this was the biggest disappointment in a long time.

With this one pre-book is needed since it is always full. We ordered Norwegian tuna, catch of the day, and straight from the sea. They were all delicious. Highly recommend. The plum dessert was not really my thing because I didn’t like the texture of the chocolate crumb.
