Fantastisk konsept. Kommunehuset er bygget om til gjestgiveri, grunnet kommunesammenslåingen. Så kontorene er bygget om til soverom, og det er felles toalett, dusj og kjøkken. 👍🏻 Veldig hyggelig betjening. Er superimponert. Kort vei til badestrand, turområde og lekeplass. Også er det en hurtigladestasjon rett utenfor døren for de som trenger det.

Highly recommended. Wonderful place to stay if you are exploring the fjords! The hostel is super clean and spacious (and the beds are super comfortable). The staff is amazing: super friendly and ready to share tailored recommendations. The hosts Diego and Andrea speak fluently Norwegian, English and Spanish (even a bit of french), so is super convenient.
I have stayed a couple of times and I always want to come back.

It is a perfect place to stay, very clean and peaceful . Andrea and Diego are fantastic hostess. The place has many possibilities to do different outdoor activities. We had and amazing weekend swimming in the fjord, visiting an apple farm in Ulvik for a cider testing. The last day we went hiking to Dronningstien which is highly recommended. The restaurant at the hotel next to is amazing. They use local product in their menu. We had dinner to nights. The food is just amazing, the plates are perfectly balance and enough 👌🏾. Thank you so much!

,Great place to use as a base for touring the area or simply spend the night on your way.
As Diego, the staff, explained, it is the old city hall converted into a hostel. The rooms are the old offices. We had a spacious 4 people room. The shared bathrooms, kitchen, seating and dinning room are very convenient. Kitchen fully equipped. There is a small supermarket across the street and a nearby hotel to go eat if you prefer not to cook. The staff is ready to help with any needs.

Whether if you are biking, hiking, swimming in the fjord, or sightseeing, Heradshuset is a convenient stopping point if you're doing activities in Hardanger. The hotel is very clean and spacious, and it is it very cool that is located in the old municipality building. We booked a double-bed room and got the mayor's office with a nice view of the fjord and an extremely comfortable bed!
The hosts, Andrea and Diego, are very friendly and service oriented, they recommended some nice hikes and bike rides in the area.

We wanted to give ourselves a treat and decided to have both dinner and breakfast in Jaunsen Gjestgjervarstad (the other hotel in town), and we loved the food! It is a set menu but they also have a vegetarian alternative if you let them know in advance. We really liked Granvin and Heradshuset!

I really love this places. 3 years in a row and never disappointed.
The host are amazing and know how to make you feel home, and guide you through the best things to discover according to your desires.
The roms are spacious, clean and comfortable beds.
I recommend 100%

Great location near to the fiord. The hostel was clean with good sized romms. The room was clean and quiet. The staff are helpful and friendly. With a short walk are you at the fiord. The place is amazing.
